Day 61: Heidi's gone...
Heidi's gone. I'm not sad or lonely, but empty. I guess it's worse. But I told myself that the earlier is the better for both of kittens and new owners. And Christin said that I can visit Heidi at school, so I could be little happier. Thank you very much for gifts. Specially the calender, it's a big surprise and I really love it. (But those all comments on the back made me cry again...) I'll go buy a flame and take good care of it. You guys are all pure-hearted. Thank you again.

Day 60: Family dinner @3.8kg
Today's dinner is very special cuz this is their last dinner at my place. I cooked chicken for Heidi and prepared a canned baby food for kittens. During the dinner, K1 (or K2) joined Heidi and had some chicken, but after one bite she got back to baby food again, she didn't like it??? After dinner, they all washed faces and started playing. I guess I'd not see this sweet scene anymore. It gets me so blue, blue and blue... When I cut Heidi's nails, she just leaned on me and let me cut her nails quietly. I remember she hissed at me at the first time I tried to cut them, then I couldn't make it, but not anymore. She shows her trust on me in her way. I almost cried cuz I'am already missing her a lot. I love Heidi too much. I really wish her all happiness from the bottom of my heart. Love always, Heidi. (Ah, this one became just like a love letter for Heidi, I've never written it to any guy in my life though...)
K1 or K2: 500 & 470g
K3: 565g
Day 60: Love playing @3.8kg
Kittens are getting cuter and cuter and naughtier and naughtier. They always play together and get curious in anything. Heidi often wanna get out of the room and stays alone. I can imagine taking care of three babies is so tiring, so she sometimes wanna have some private time to relax. But she's still a good mother, once she hears their meowing then runs up to babies.

Day 59: First try for baby food! @3.8kg

Day 55: Favorite play @3.8kg
They often play with the oil heater lately. It's only squeezing through from here to there, but they enjoy running after each other around it. They also love playing with mom's tail. They can run much faster than before now and it's not a toddle anymore. I open the door, then they rush to get out of their house pushing each other ahead, meowing a lot. It's just like a kindergarten!

Day 50: Hair balls @3.8kg
The
molting season has just started. These hair balls are from Kun-kun and Ni-ni, you know which is whose. Ni-ni loves getting brushed, but Kun-kun. When she gets brushed, she gets so pissed off at me. But she knows she can't show her anger to me, so she always takes it out on Ni-ni and punches her. Poor Ni-ni...

Day 46: Brush @3.9kg
Heidi can be proud of her fur for 3S, soft, smooth and shiny. Heidi loves getting her fur brushed. She closes her eyes and sometimes stretches her body or rolls over on the floor. I ask her "Enough?" and she answers "More". Then her hair ball gets bigger and bigger. Heidi, you will lose all your fur soon...
K1 & K2: 320g
K3: 345g
Kittens just started playing together, biting ears or tails eath other, trying to step on others, chasing by a toddling walk, etc. They're so innocent.

Day 45: Mom is the best @4.0kg
K1 or K2: 305 & 315g
K3: 350g
I guess their weight goes up and down depending on before and after they have milk from Heidi. Sometimes there is no gap between K1 and K2, sometimes a lot.

Day 44: K1 & Kun-kun @4.0kg
I showed K1 (or K2) to Kun-kun first time today. She's been watching the sleeping K1 for 10 sec like "What is this?!" Then when K1 suddenly started moving around, she jumped away from K1 and hid herself . She was so scared of K1 like "Don't come to me, pleeeees..." Kun-kun is suffering in the lowest position in the cat party now.
K1 or K2: 290 & 300g

Day 42: Who is who? @4.1kg
Today's a visiting day of Heidi lovers. I still have cold, so stayed away from them, but was glad to hear their joyful voice. I saw K3 walking first time! It's only a todding, but enough to get me well awared that kittens are really growing. It made me feel happy, but lonely a bit cuz I know they grow = I should kiss them good bye. I gave Heidi some pork I cooked and asked her "Have you thought of the coming X-day to leave your babies?" But the anser was only "chomp-chomp"...
K2 finally caught up with K1's weight. I can't tell who is who at all. I actually really wanna check out their difference, but Heidi always bothers me, so still couldn't make it.
K1 & K2: 260g
K3: 305g

Day 40: K1 too @4.1kg
K1 opened his/her eyes, too. The left eye is still half-opened. When I touch babies, they all meow much more than before since they opened their eyes. I guess it's because they can see the difference between their own mom Heidi and me now, so scared of me. They meow and Heidi rushes to take babies away from me, so very difficult to take good photos.

Day 39: Sorry, my mistake
Sorry, my mistake. K2 & K3 opened their eyes, and K1 is just "almost". 加油K1!
K1: 225g
K2: 220g
K3: 260g
I've got to mark either K1 or K2, cuz K2 is catching up K1 on the weight and it's becoming harder to tell who is who now.

Day 38: Mommy Heidi @4.2kg
Heidi sometimes leaves babies and enjoys her own time out of her room lately. She spends most of her free time to look for food in the kitchen. She licks anything, pans, pots, spoons, etc. I'm sure I have worms in my body, too. I heard that Maria Callas or Naomi Campbell used to keep worms in their bodies to keep a good shape. Maybe I'd be so skinny soon, too.

Day 37: Carrying K2 @4.2kg
K1: 200g
K2: 190g
K3: 230g
Heidi had diarrhea little bit tonight. But XiaoLuo made sure with the vet that she can take medicine for worms in 2 weeks, good. I have a slight cold (not H1N1) from Thu, so excuse me making only short article today.

Day 35: Before and After @4.2kg
Today I show you "Before and After" photos. These were taken on the same day, but the left one was taken right before the delivery, and the another was taken right after delivery. She looks almost same in these, but actually lost 700g for 4 days. Huuum, not bad. I wanna ask Heidi how to lose weight.
Ok, let's put babies on the scale.
K1; 180g
K2: 160g
K2: 160g
K3: 205g
I heard that kittens grow only 10g a day on the average...

Day 34: Heidi lovers vol.2 @4.4kg
Today Heidi had a great time with Heidi's lovers after a long time. She's been so calm lately, but looked happy and so lively today. All my friends also want to see Heidi and her babies, too. I'm telling them to wait for a little while, but maybe I can invite them soon. Heidi trusts people now. Christin said that I can stay with Heidi for one more month. It pleased me a lot. I used to keep many strays in my place before, but Heidi is awfully special to me. BTW, I heard that the name of Heidi's come from the name of a canned food. Could someone show it to me in Chinese?
Today's "Let's step on the scale" is...Ta dah!!
K1: 160g
K2: 140g
K3. 190g(!)
Oh, Heidi's diarrhea completely got well. But I still really wanna get all worms out from Heidi asap and send them to hell...
PS: Pls take a look at the first photo. K3's got small nails on his fingers, so cute!

Day 33: Heidi's worms @?kg
Today Heid got diarrhea again. I found lots of worm in her poo, I mean "a lot". The vet said "There is nothing we can do for worms during her nursing, we can't get her a shot or medicine now. She might be having pains around her vigina (still bleeding a bit, but it is the way it is) or teats (cuz of too much milk, I can massage them for her)." She often got on my knees and meowed (sounded like screams sometimes) a lot. I'll see how she is tomorrow and go see the vet, even though I can do nothing. She might be feeling so sick and asking me to do something for her. She still has an appetite and sleeps well, that's only my relief. Hearing her screams is so painful for me. Get well soon, Heidi. No photo today...
2/22/2010
Day 32: Giant K3 @4.4kg
Heidi got super appetite, it's much greater than before. I guess taking care of babies gets her hungry very much. I put her food far from babies and started weighting them. I suddenly found that Heidi already came back and waiting for me finish weighting right beside of me, no bothering, no upset, no anxiety. I was so surprised and amazed that she showed me her trust. And K2 started meowing, then Heidi got into the box with K2 in her mouth. That warmed my heart, really did. Heidi loves babies.
K1: 115g
K2: 100g
K3: 145g
The vet said that kittens gain 10g a day on the avarage. That means K3 is growing too much??? K3 might be a giant cat, bigger than Kun-kun...

Day 31: Babies!!!
Late last night Heidi just kept walking around endlessly, couldn't keep still in one place, looked like so restless. I found that something was happening on her. Moreover, she suddenly had diarrhea badly and the poo was everyhwhere on floor, sofa, table, shoes, bed..., she even couldn't clean herself up. It wasn't like her. This morning, she started screaming (not meowing) a lot and seemed she didn't know what to do for the pain. She followed me and always tried to lie on my knees. I guess she was in anxiety or fear. Then later she's decided to have babies in the drawer for my cloth and didn't wanna get out from it. So I moved her heater, toilet, food, water, and turned lights off. I darefully kept eyes on what was going on in the drawer cuz I had to take care of kittens in the case Heidi didn't wanna raise them up, but it was a unnecessary worry. Heidi is a perfect mom. I took some photos and weighted them hiding from Heidi.
0600: started screaming for a pain and kept walking around
1000: hid herself in the drawer
1120: got the first baby, just looks like Heidi, so tiny 100g!
1205: got the second baby, also looks like Heidi, tinier 90g!
1255: got the third baby, little bit darker than Heidi, 115g!
During her meals, I weighted them again at night. They all gained 5 more g! I can't name them cuz Heidi is Christin's cat, so I'll call them K1 (The first baby), K2 (The second baby) and K3 (The third baby). K is K of kitten.
